Exide always seeks ways to make a positive impact on the society at large through various CSR activities. Environment, basic education, health, women empowerment and community development continues to remain the main pillars of Exide's CSR philosophy even before the passing of the Companies Act, 2013.

As part of its CSR initiatives, the Company has undertaken projects in the areas of education, livelihood, health, water and sanitation.

It has also made contributions to the Marrow Donor Registry (India),

Prime Minister's National Relief Fund and Swachh Bharat Kosh. These projects are largely in accordance with Schedule VII of the Companies Act, 2013.

The primary aim is to be one of the most respected companies

in India delivering superior and sustainable value to all our customers, business partners, shareholders, employees and host communities. The CSR initiatives focus on holistic development of host communities and create social, environmental and economic value to the society.

To pursue these objectives Exide will continue to:

  • Increasingly contribute to activities that are beneficial to the society and community at large.
  • Chart out a mechanism for undertaking CSR activities.
  • Engage with the Company's key stakeholders in matters related to CSR activities.
  • Align the CSR activities undertaken by the Company with the applicable laws.
